Home based in Warwickshire

The Food for Life Partnership (FFLP) has been commissioned by Warwickshire’s Department of Public Health to support the delivery of the programme in Nuneaton & Bedworth.  We are now looking for a locally based manager to work directly with schools to improve the knowledge and consumption of healthy and sustainable food, act as the first point of contact regarding the FFLP programme for schools, caterers, producers and others, and ensure that regional stakeholders are engaged in and value the FFLP programme. You will help plan and organise events and other activities for schools by working closely with the FFLP partner organisations.

You will have experience of working in schools, Public Health or Local Authorities, as well as a good knowledge of sustainable food issues. You will be a confident self-starter, able to build relationships at all levels within local authorities and other stakeholder organisations, and able to work on your own initiative.

The post will mainly be based from your home, and occasionally at offices in Bristol and Warwickshire; considerable travel across Nuneaton and Bedworth, as well as Warwickshire is required, so own transport is important.
