The Soil Association is the UK's leading membership charity campaigning for people and planet-friendly food and farming.

 

We are looking for an energetic Digital Communications and Press Officer to work with the Communications team to raise awareness of the Soil Association in the media.

 

You will work with the team to develop and implement the Soil Association’s strategy for online, digital and social media communications, ensuring that it meets the needs of all our target audiences, maintains our reputation and makes a measurable contribution to the achievement of our strategic objectives. 

 

You will also support the press office by researching, writing and distributing targeted news releases, developing relationships with national, local and specialist media.

 

The successful candidate will have experience of communications in a professional capacity, including online, digital and social media communications. You will be familiar with a range of relevant software packages in relation to the digital work, have experience of creating rich content and be knowledgeable about web analytics and SEO.

 

You will be able to work on your own initiative as well as part of a team, have a flexible approach and be able to meet deadlines.  

 

Experience of working in press office is desirable, as is knowledge of the issues the Soil Association promotes.
