Soil Association Certification Ltd is the UK's leading company which certifies organic food, produce and non-food products.  It is a wholly owned subsidiary of the Soil Association membership charity.
 
We are seeking a highly motivated individual with a background in the health and beauty industry and / or chemistry. An understanding of the principles of organic food and farming and the certification processes involved would also be an advantage.
 
You will be responsible for the effective account management of a portfolio of businesses with a diverse range of organic processing systems, including key organic manufacturers of health and beauty products.  You will be dealing with all aspects of organic certification, the role will include an emphasis on more technical aspects of this sector such as product formulations and you will also have a focus on the development of this sector.
 
The successful candidate will be educated to degree level or equivalent experience, ideally in chemistry or a science based subject, be an excellent relationship builder, highly organised and have an awareness of the commercial demands on businesses.  Excellent verbal and written communication skills, computer literacy and a confident approach to service delivery and the ability to provide solutions within tight deadlines are essential.
