Soil Association Certification Limited is the UK’s leading certification body for organic farming and production.  It is a wholly owned subsidiary of the Soil Association, the leading environmental charity campaigning for people and planet-friendly food and farming.

 

We are seeking a highly motivated individual with experience in the agricultural industry, with particular knowledge in either the horticultural, arable or livestock sectors. You will have an understanding of the principles of organic food and farming and the certification processes involved.

 

You will be responsible for the effective account management of a portfolio of farm businesses with a diverse range of organic producing systems.  You will be dealing with all aspects of organic certification; the role will include an emphasis on both technical and business aspects of the sector you will be working with some focus on development of that sector.

 

The successful candidate will be educated to degree level or equivalent experience, ideally in an agricultural subject, be an excellent relationship builder, highly organised and have an awareness of the commercial demands on the farming businesses.  Excellent verbal and written communication skills, computer literacy and a confident approach to service delivery and the ability to provide solutions within tight deadlines are essential.
