Community supported agriculture

Welcome to the community supported agriculture and organic buying groups project.

Our Big Lottery funded support project runs until March 2012 and our focus is on supporting the development of CSAs throughout England.

The following pages are designed to help you get the information and support you need to start up a CSA, develop your CSA further or join a CSA.  The information is designed for farmers, community groups and individuals.

Why not join the network, sign up to our newsletter and discussion forum, attend some of our training events, or explore what’s happening around the country by looking at some of the case studies and websites.

1. Download the action manual

2. Subscribe to the newsletter

3. Get technical information and support for setting up a CSA

4. Information on funding and community finance

5. Find out about training

6. Find out more about CSAs in your area

Community supported agriculture (CSA) is a partnership between farmers and the local community, providing mutual benefits and reconnecting the people to the land where their food is grown.

The Soil Association is in a partnership project called Making Local Food Work funded by the Big Lottery Fund; see 'The project' page for more details.
