CSA get together and open day at Dragon Orchard CSA

Meet At Putley Village Hall, Herefordshire.
 
The day is an opportunity to meet and share ideas with other CSAs and to learn about the established CSA at Dragon Orchard.
 
Who should come?
The day is open to anyone with an interest in CSAs, especially trading and developing CSA projects.
Amongst us will be a group of 5 people learning about CSA from Slovakia, Greece, Czech Republic and Hungary in order to introduce the idea of CSA to their countries.
 
Programme
We will meet for tea and introductions at 12.00 at Putley Village Hall. You will be asked to speak for a few minutes about your project, or proposed project.
 
Lunch will be provided.
 
The Soil Association will speak about CSA and there will be a problem solving and discussion session. We will discuss whether and how you would like to stay in touch in the future.
 
Ann and Norman Stanier will talk about their apple CSA, which is successful and well established. It is a privately owned farmer led CSA with subscribing members who contribute £360 per year and receive apple produce and visits to the orchard. There will be a farm tour, whatever the weather, so please come suitably dressed.

Open Farm Sunday

Anna Louise Batchelor: What a glorious weekend the first May bank holiday was. After the long, drawn out winter, a weekend of sunshine and warmth was really welcome. I took the opportunity to visit my local organic farm Waltham Place or their annual spring walk and was treated to the sight of beautiful bluebells due to the late spring.
