  • Green manures and winter cropping in polytunnels
  • Backyard gardening
  • People-centred food systems
  • Seed saving
  • Choosing best varieties for annual vegetables and fruit production
  • Working with willows and their use in a sustainable garden
  • Wildlife gardening
  • Unusual and interesting methods of preserving fruit, vegetables and herbs from the garden and the wild.
  • Dehydrating
  • Sprouting foods
  • Preparing nuts, fruits, roots and berries

Open Farm Sunday

Anna Louise Batchelor: What a glorious weekend the first May bank holiday was. After the long, drawn out winter, a weekend of sunshine and warmth was really welcome. I took the opportunity to visit my local organic farm Waltham Place or their annual spring walk and was treated to the sight of beautiful bluebells due to the late spring.
