Run as part of the Duchy Originals Future Farming Programme, these field labs are farmer-led experiments and knowledge-sharing events. They are open to both organic and non-organic producers and aim to highlight best practice and showcase current farmer led trials. Taking inspiration from the farmer field school approach, pioneered among low-input farmers in Asia and transferred around the globe, they will help farmers to think practically about the challenges they face whilst equipping them with problem solving skills to improve their production systems and ultimately identify where further research could help the agricultural sector.
