British Grassland Society Green Compost Opportunities

17 October 2012 10:00 - 17 October 2012 13:00

Venue near Crediton, Devon

These demonstration plots have been kindly supported by David Munday who farms near Crediton, Devon. The main focus of this meeting will be the field scale demonstration plots that were established in summer 2012 using different types of organic manures. Cattle farm yard manure, broiler litter and green compost were all spread at varying rates. Soil analyses for before and after the applications will be available that will look at organic matter content, soil pH and phosphate and potash indices. A range of other alternative manures will also be discussed with costs and benefits of both being discussed. There will be an opportunity to visit demonstration plots set up in previous years.

In conjunction with British Grassland Society and Creedy Associates

This event is FREE to attend.  Lunch is provided. For more details or to register to attend please contact Briony Burge on 01363 776162 or briony.burge@creedyassociates.com
