Future Growers trainees/seasonal workers in Herefordshire

We grow a wide range of fruit and vegetables for our farm shop, markets, box scheme, local and national customers on 77 acres in south Herefordshire, and have:

Two positions from March/April for approximately six months. Full range of duties from plant raising, planting, crop management, harvest, for protected cropping and field scale fruit and vegetables. Hand work and tractors. Supervision of seasonal harvest workers. Some packhouse work. Good all-round experience opportunity.

Need to be physically fit and prepared to commit to a season’s work. Minimum 40 hours per week, often more, depending on weather. Flexible shifts including weekends.

Open Farm Sunday

Anna Louise Batchelor: What a glorious weekend the first May bank holiday was. After the long, drawn out winter, a weekend of sunshine and warmth was really welcome. I took the opportunity to visit my local organic farm Waltham Place or their annual spring walk and was treated to the sight of beautiful bluebells due to the late spring.
