A growing market for organic textiles

16 May 2011

Soil Association textile licensees defied the recession in 2010 with a sales growth of 35% - reaching £12million. As the market for organic textiles grows, so does our support for organic textiles trade.

In March we launched our first biannual e-newsletter dedicated to the organic fashion and textile industry, packed full with news, market updates and opportunities from the across industry. Our next issue will coincide with London Fashion Week and Organic September.

Our organic textile market report, also launched in March, includes case studies of successful organic textile businesses and is available to download from our website. As part of our on-going support we have also produced organic cotton and organic wool promotional leaflets which are ideal to support your promotional activities during Organic September later in the year.

Our trade support team and organic textile specialists can offer guidance and opportunities for businesses interested in organic: advice on how to convert your supply chain or lists of already certified suppliers or visibility at key events and marketing support. To find out more speak to our staff in certification on 0117 9142406 or goorganic@soilassociation.org
