AssureWel update

AssureWel is a multi-species five year (2010-2015) project led by the Soil Association, University of Bristol, and the RSPCA with collaborative links with several industry bodies including the Red Tractor Farm Assurance scheme, Quality Meat Scotland and UK Organic Certification Bodies.
A key mission of the project is to develop a field-tested framework that will fully embed welfare outcomes into inspections and standards development within UK and European farm assurance schemes. This is an exciting project to improve welfare outcomes throughout different farming systems.
