Nominate your favourite Plymouth foodies

The Plymouth Food Awards, now in their second year, are open for nominations. Vote for your favourite local foodies who you think are doing the most to support the aims of the Plymouth Food Charter.
The Plymouth Food Charter, launched early 2011, aims to improve health and wellbeing for all and to create a more connected, resilient and sustainable city. [1]
Categories you can nominate in are:
Best Community Group
Best Food Champion
Best Producer
Best Restaurant
Best School [2]
Traci Lewis, Food Plymouth coordinator, said: “These Awards have been created to celebrate some of the extraordinary efforts, skills and achievements of those who are bringing delicious healthy and sustainable food to people in Plymouth. We want to hear who you think is doing the most to support the aims of the Plymouth Food Charter, so tell us about the good work they are doing and why they deserve to win.”
Nick Cork, Southwest Food and Drink Managing Director, said: “South West Food and Drink is proud to be sponsoring the Food Champion category of the Plymouth Food Awards 2012. The Plymouth Food Awards are a great way to celebrate the recent achievements in the City to bring more healthy and sustainable food to the table”.
The winners will be presented with their Awards on the main stage at Flavour Fest in August.
