Occombe Farm

Occombe Farm is a 150-acre mix of pasture, wet meadows and woodland set in the Devon countryside just a few miles from the coast. Owned and managed by Torbay Coast and Countryside Trust, it is a rare snapshot of English farming as it would have looked before World War Two having escaped the ravages of intensive farming. In addition to its herd of traditional ruby red cattle and rare breed sheep, the farm boasts a site of special scientific interest, comprising wildlife and habitats in need of protection. A 2km nature trail allows you to wander through the farm taking in its hay meadows, woodland and bird hide along the way.
