Wild food foraging weekend
Starts: 18 May 2013 10:30
Ends: 19 May 2013 16:30
Troed y Rhiw Farm, Llwyndafydd, Llandysul, Ceredigion, SA44 6BY
Our hedgerows, meadows, woodlands and coastal areas are full of a fantastic range of edible plants that are there for the picking if you know what they are and how to use them. Over the course of a weekend, you will learn to find and identify a range of wild food in walks through varying environmental ecosystems. Led by an experienced forager, we will explore different ways of using wild food and each walk will conclude with cooking up what we find.
We specialize in courses that are small scale, engaging and hands on. Led by talented and experienced teachers, the courses provide an intimate learning environment, ample opportunity to question and debate and good food throughout the day.
A great opportunity to get away for a weekend and learn some sustainable skills. Accomodation at the farm is available in our beautifully restored stone dairies, so stay a weekend or a week while you do your course and see the beautiful coastline and countryside of West Wales.
Come on our scheduled courses or book on demand if you have a group of six or more. All courses can be made family-friendly.
Cost: £50 for the weekend including lunch
