Soil Association Organic Food Awards 2012

03 May 2012

Now in their 24th year, the Soil Association Organic Food Awards are the most prestigious and widely respected in the organic sector. The awards provide the opportunity for producers to showcase their best organic products and are open to any food or drink product available to the public and certified as organic by a recognised organic certification body within the EU.

This year we've made some exciting changes to the awards:

  • Extended categories allow recognition to a broader spectrum of products. All the judging of entries is done blind by an expert panel of judges.
  • The Best of Organic Dairy Award – we are focusing on organic dairy in 2012, so there are two special dairy awards: the Best Organic Farm Dairy and Best Organic Dairy Group. Both winners' stories will be used to promote the benefits of organic food and drink.
  • There will be special awards in three other categories: Low Carbon Farm, Best School Food and Best Local Initiative.

Entering the awards is simple. Choose a relevant category, check the eligibility criteria, and then just complete the online entry form and follow the instructions.

Once you have entered, please email a copy of your proof of organic certification for all products to Laura Andrews at You can also contact Laura with any queries in the meantime, either by email or on 0117 987 4586.

The deadline for entering the awards is Friday 15 June 2012.

Good luck with your entry!
