Company profile

The business has been organic for ten years and produces arable and horticultural crops, beef, lamb and chicken. There are 800 acres of woodland, 150 of them a national nature reserve.

A short background to the winning product

The farm had never previously kept chickens, but the owners had for some years been dissatisfied with those sold even in the best butchers, and had the intention of producing chickens as they remembered them tasting years ago, believing it was about getting the breed, diet and lifestyle right.

What does organic mean to you?

The natural and the least interfered with state is the right state, the least corrupted, the best tasting, the healthiest and of most benefit to the wider environment.
