Pillars of Hercules was the name given by an eighteenth century laird to the site of this farm. We suspect a fascination with Greek mythology and the 'end of the known world’ was on his mind, rather than provision of a memorable name for an organic business. Established in 1983 on the site of an old tree nursery, the 25 acre farm grows a wide range of salads and vegetables. We also rear turkeys and keep laying hens which graze happily in our orchard. Our farm shop sells our own farm produce and a wide range of other organic food. The organic café has out-grown all expectations and has become the coolest place in Fife to meet up over coffee or a delicious bowl of homemade soup.
