Winner of the baby category for their Organic Apple & Strawberry / Apple & Peach Dual.

Company profile

Organix Organic Apple & Strawberry / Apple & Peach DualLizzie Vann started Organix, the pioneering children’s food company, in 1992. Based in Dorset, Organix makes healthy, fun, organic foods to give babies and children the best start in life, and runs campaigns to improve the quality of children’s food.

We’re now a team of 45 people all focused on making great food, empowering parents and challenging the government and the food industry to make high quality food a real choice for everyone.

Organix was always set up as a company that would make a difference by contributing back into the environment we worked in – the food industry. We believe that good nutrition is vital to the healthy growth of our children and that it should be easy for parents and enjoyable for children. We believe that food companies should only sell foods that are nutritionally sound and never harmful and that business can and should change society for the better. By creating great food, we have a business that can give back through providing powerful information to parents to make informed choices on food and by creating new pieces of research on the link between food and children’s health through the Organix Foundation.

What does organic mean to you?

Organic is the only way we can be assured that the food we are eating is free from unnecessary toxins and grown in a way that reduces its impact on the environment.

We believe that good nutrition is vital to the health and growth of our children. As children are one of the most vulnerable groups in society to the exposure of toxins, we see organic as the only way to ensure that their development is not disrupted and they are given the best start in life.

Organic is the easiest way to have complete confidence that what you are eating has been well controlled and regulated, will taste as you expect it to taste and is exactly what you expect it to be.

What does winning the award mean to you?

We’re really proud to have won the Soil Association Award as it is awarded to us by people that understand what should be celebrated about food – so the food we make for babies and children has passed some experienced taste buds and very high expectations!!
