Do you think good food should be available to everyone? So, do we.
Sadly, there are thousands of people who simply aren’t getting the nutritious food they need to thrive. That includes children in schools, and people in hospitals and care homes. And too much of the food we eat is still produced in a way that is damaging our natural world.
Help change the system
From farm to fork, you can help improve the way our food is produced and make sure as many people as possible have access to it through our Food For Life programmes in England and Scotland. The UK’s food ‘system’ may be messed up but it is changing and, together with many others involved in the good food movement, we are shaping its future.
We think it’s possible to produce nutritious food for all through kinder farming – without using chemicals or killing wildlife, and making sure every farm animal feels the sun on their back. And members of our good food movement agree it's vital to transform the way we farm. They support our work pioneering new ways to farm.
Making Britain healthier through food:
- Over half of all children in English primary schools – and a third in Scottish primary schools - have access to healthy meals certified by our Food For Life Catering Mark
- In 2015, the number of Catering Mark meals served in UK hospitals increased by 10 million in 12 months, helping patients recover
- Our work supports businesses to better show consumers where food comes from and how it’s made, so more people can make healthier choices.
Together, we can improve the way food is produced, now and in the future. Support our campaigns and help us influence the people who make vital decisions about food in the UK.
We need you to help lobby the UK government on everything from improving factory farming to banning genetically modified ingredients. Your support will help make sure these campaigns change the future of food in the UK.
