Organic wine tasting hits Glasgow!

Soil Association Scotland - 23 September 2011

The newly established wine merchants Quel Vin in Glasgow have been busy with organic wine tastings every weekend this September, resulting in a lot of happy customers leaving with organic goodies.

Big sellers include Giol Prosecco, Mont Albano Pinot Grigio/Pinot Bianco, Wild Thing Sauvignon Blanc and rose (great price - over a fiver under a tenner), Jean Bousquet Malbec . As well as the Milton Chenin and Riesling which were, according to Quel Vin, “a magnificent discovery”.  Also, “Lovely Linda Ward from Vintage Roots came and tasted with us... she really does fire up the enthusiasm - and I think tasting the wines helps too, of course”.

Final tasting on 30th September!

****Still to come this weekend****

• Living Food at Cawdor Castle on Saturday 24th September. This year marks the sixth year of Living Food at Cawdor Castle – an event which celebrates local, organic and artisan produce.
• Bread Matters are hosting a 2 day Italian Baking course at on 24th and 25th September at Macbiehill Farmhouse, West Linton. Pre booking is essential.
• East Coast Organics are holding a promotional open day on the 24th September. There will be “Loads of animals and crops to see. Tractor rides, walking tours, market stall, hot food and drinks, face painting, crazy piglets running everywhere, possibly a maze and a small animals area”.

Keep discovering all things organic in Scotland this September, and have fun!
