Thursday 21st October 3:00 – 5:00pm Online

As we slowly begin to emerge from the Covid-19 rubble, there isn’t a minute to waste.

It’s time to refocus our efforts and respond to the unfolding crisis ahead of us: the climate emergency. As we race towards the 2030 deadline, this year’s annual Soil Association Certification Trade Conference will ask – how does organic hold answers to some of our biggest climate, nature and health crises? Join us, as we tackle the big questions to determine how organic can play its role in lowering the human impact on our planet.

9 years to go

Back in 2018, the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) published a report stating we only had 12 years left to limit global warming to below 1.5C. Miss this target, they warned, and the domino effect caused by our changing climate will be irreversible. With now just 9 years to go, citizens are more concerned by the impact their lifestyle choices have on the planet than ever before. At our 2021 Virtual Trade Conference, we'll be exploring how we can all cement organic as the best sustainable choice in shopper’s minds.

Join us on Thursday 21st October for a virtual live broadcast of expert presentations, panel discussions and Q&As to explore the future of organic in a post-Covid and Brexit world.

Attend and you can expect to:

  • Benefit from our latest consumer research - get actionable insights into how the organic shopper has changed post-pandemic.
  • Understand how the organic market has developed since we reported annual growth of 12.6% in February 2021.
  • Hear from brands across the industry to learn how to put your organic business at the centre of the sustainability conversation.
  • Explore how you can take advantage of new channels and markets for organic.
  • Learn about the ambitions of the National Food Strategy, and how it could impact trade and the organic industry.

Most recently, Henry has been the lead author for the National Food Strategy, the government-commissioned independent review into the UK food system.
