AECS and Pains
AECS and Pains – Getting to Grips with Agri-Environment Schemes, Thursday 9th March, Fife, 1.30-4.30pm
Are you trying to get to grips with AECS, or wondering how managing your land differently could impact production?
This practical event will look at ‘win-win’ situations, where agri-environmental management can benefit both wildlife and production, e.g. field margins increasing the number of insects, which pollinate plants or compete with pests, thereby boosting yield.
We will also spend time exploring some of the practicalities and challenges associated with applying for and managing land under an AECS scheme.
This event will be delivered in partnership with RSPB Scotland and Scottish Water.
Free of charge to farmers and land managers (£40.00 plus VAT to others).
Booking is essential as places will go quickly. Complete a booking form, email firstname.lastname@example.org or call Jane on 0131 666 2474.
Funding is provided through The Prince of Wales's Charitable Foundation, the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development in partnership with the Scottish Government, Scottish Water, and RSPB Scotland.
