Worming Your Way To Profit
SRUC Kirkton and Auchtertyre Farms, Crianlarich, Friday 7th July 2017
A practical workshop on a hill farm looking at effective ways of treating fluke and worms. It will cover diagnosis, control, different treatments, and pasture management.
Can you change things to improve health and productivity, and maybe even save a bit of cash? Practical demonstrations will show the principles in action – with handling, weighing, and faecal egg counts.
There will also be a look at how wader scrapes affect fluke management, and you’ll get a chance to have your questions answered by our expert speakers Harriet Wishart, Jenna Kyle, John Holland and Davy McCracken from SRUC, and Philip Skuce and Fiona Kenyon from the Moredun, at lunchtime.
Free of charge to farmers, foresters and land managers and £40 + VAT to others.
Funding is provided through SRDP Knowledge Transfer and Innovation Fund (which is jointly funded by the Scottish Government and the European Union) with partner funding from Scottish Water, RSPB Scotland and The Prince of Wales’s Charitable Foundation. (This event is part of a wider KTIF programme, Farming With Nature.)
