Get a Grip on Greening!

The Greening rules are changing! So it’s time to get to grips with Greening – to make it work for you, your business and the environment.

Speakers From:
NFU Scotland’s Policy team, The Game and Wildlife Conservation Trust, RSPB Scotland, and local farmers.

NFU Scotland will give an update on the Greening Rules that come into play on the 1st of January 2018.

RSPB Scotland and the Game and Wildlife Conservation trust will showcase how biodiversity (such as grey partridge and corn buntings) can benefit from EFA options, and The Soil Association will give results from their field-labs on how EFA can be used to build soil fertility, improving crop productivity, and profitability as a result.

Do you have a particular question about how EFA’s can be used? Bring them along on the night, or send them to us in advance – we will finish with a Question and Answer session with the whole panel, allowing for a lively debate to finish.

Tea, coffee and mince pies on arrival.

Free of charge to farmers, crofters and land managers.

Booking is essential as places will go quickly. Booking can be done online for Kinross, Kelso, Laurencekirk or Inverurie, or by emailing or calling Jane on 0131 666 2474.

Funding is provided through SRDP Knowledge Transfer and Innovation Fund (which is jointly funded by the Scottish Government and the European Union) with partner funding from Scottish Water, RSPB Scotland and Farm Advisory Service (This event is part of a wider KTIF programme, Farming With Nature.)
