Winter: Essential preparations for the year ahead; chosing, moving and siting verities of perennial herbs, fruit trees, fruit brushes and vegetables; how to prune to simple cordons and regenerative pruning of old fruit trees. Techniques for crop protection, tool care and the season's focus crops: garlic, lettuce, salad brassicas, rocket and radish.
