- Georgina McLeod
Director of Communications and Supporter Development
Georgina leads all of our public campaigning and communications – through the media, our website, Twitter, facebook and other social media channels. Georgina’s team also lead on the communication to farmers and growers, encouraging both organic and non-organic producers to try new approaches and adopt organic and agro-ecological techniques and to become part of our Innovative Farmers Programme.
Georgina also leads the Supporter Development team who are responsible for recruiting and looking after Soil Association members, donors and supporters – an amazing group of people who are all inspired to make a difference either by giving money or by taking personal action. Raising money through donors is incredibly important to the Soil Association – it’s only through this generosity that we are able to carry on the work we do.
Wanting to make the move from the Midlands to the South, Georgina joined the Soil Association from the Woodland Trust where she was Director of Jubilee Woods. She developed and delivered an award winning project which planted 8 million trees, created over 300 new woods and raised £6m.
