About William Jackson Food Group
WJFG is a sixth-generation family business which started out as a small grocer shop in Yorkshire in 1851. Much has changed over the years, but their values remain the same – family values are at their core, they look after their businesses and people and act with integrity in everything they do. Their purpose is to have a range of terrific food businesses, each of which creates some of the greatest food in its field.
WJFG are the brand owners of the likes of Abel & Cole, The Food Doctor and Jackson’s Yorkshire Champion Bread as well as Wellocks, Belazu and MyFresh which supply leading supermarkets, food service businesses and food manufacturers with bread and freshly prepared vegetables across the UK and overseas.
We’re huge fans of the work Food For Life is doing with schools in Hull and we’re very proud to be supporting the programme. We believe a community should be a better place for having one of our businesses in it and as a food company we feel helping youngsters to eat healthy, tasty and sustainable food is absolutely crucial.Nicholas Oughtred Chairman of the William Jackson Food Group
