Visit an organic farm

Hindon Farm, Somerset

Nestling in a secluded valley where Exmoor meets the sea, Hindon Farm is a 380 hectare farm tenanted from the National Trust. The farm rears organic sheep, pigs and Aberdeen Angus cattle, selling much of the produce through the farm shop and home delivery service. Why not visit to discover more about how organic principles are helping to conserve this beautiful farm?

Organic cattle, sheep and pigs

The farm's herd of Aberdeen Angus suckler cows calve outside in the spring and autumn. The bull is famous for taking part in the parade to celebrate the Queen Mother's 100th birthday. The ewes are Swaledales, a traditional hill breed that are bred with lowland rams (Suffolk, charolais and texel) to produce the spring lambs. Hindon's pigs live a free range existence in the fields with arks for shelter.

Countryside and conservation

The farm is situated in beautiful countryside and you are able to follow a farm trail up the coombe, through ancient woodland to the heather-clad moors of Selworthy Beacon. From here there are breathtaking views over Porlock bay and across the Bristol channel to Wales.

Farm shop and home delivery - from the moor to your door

The Webbers aim to sell top quality healthy food at a price that is fair to both the farmer and consumer. The meat is home-reared, individually selected by the farmer and available direct from the farm.
