About the opportunity

Innovative Farmers is a network for farmers and researchers in the UK encouraging innovation in agriculture through on-farm trials. This role in our small team within the Soil Association will be responsible for the day-to-day co-ordination of the network. With 25 new field labs due to launch in the next 12-months this position plays an important role in the wider farming team at the Soil Association working with colleagues and partners to identify potential new field labs topics and inform our other programmes.

As primary support for all group coordinators, many of whom will be external advisors, and consultants you will support the establishment of new field labs, gather and manage information, monitor the progress of approximately 30 groups at any one time and work closely with our Communications Manager to generate farming stories.

About you

Above all we are looking for:
• Great interpersonal skills and confidence in building working relationships
• Organisational skills and self-motivation with the ability to prioritise and work under pressure
• Ability to analyse and process information to monitor impact, make recommendations and provide feedback
• Interest in sustainable agricultural practices
