A look at practical approaches to reducing external inputs in a mixed arable/livestock system
Wednesday 8 March, 12.30–2pm
Join us online for an interactive panel discussion, featuring farmers – Alex Brewster of Rotmell Farm, Perth and Doug Christie of Durie Farms, Fife – who have reduced their use of external inputs and increased farm resilience through practical approaches such as soil testing, supporting soil biodiversity, reducing tillage, diversifying rotations, and intercropping.
We will explore how these and other approaches can be implemented together to improve soil health and boost fertility, reducing the need for external inputs, with advice from soil expert Dr Audrey Litterick of Earthcare Technical.
FREE and open to crofters, farmers and land managers. Booking is required.
