Read our Organic Standards
No system of farming has higher levels of animal welfare than organic farms working to our standards. Our organic standards use the EU organic regulation as their baseline, but in many cases our standards are more robust.
The current version of the standards are organised by sector below:

Farming & Growing
Soil Association standards for organic farming and growing, including horticulture, arable production, livestock production, slaughtering and feed processing.

Soil Association standards for organic processing and catering.

Aquaculture & Seaweed
Soil Association standards for organic aquaculture & seaweed production.

EU Equivalent Organic Standards
EU Equivalent standards for licensees that wish to certify to EU only organic standards.

Food For Life Served Here
Standards for the Food For Life Served Here award.

Forestry, Wood & Paper
Standards for the sustainable management of forests and forest products.

Health & Beauty
Standards for organic and natural health and beauty products. This includes the international COSMOS standard, and the Soil Association Health and Beauty standard.

Standards for organic textiles, including the Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS) and Textile Exchange’s Organic Content Standard.
