Our Farm to Fork Ambassadors are a group of over 20 food champions working on the front line of the UK food system. Ambassadors are here to share their food stories, campaigning for systems change.

Ambassadors have first-hand experience creating a healthier and more sustainable food system. They represent the whole food chain from farmers, to community food, and beyond.

Why join the ambassador programme?

There are lots of reason to join the programme, including to:

  • be empowered to share your personal food stories
  • receive training opportunities in storytelling, media skills, interview skills and more
  • join our wider Soil Association network
  • connect with other passionate ambassadors
  • boost your profile and become a powerful voice in the sector
  • receive opportunities to attend events, meet with policy-makers and media interviews
  • contribute stories for Soil Association to amplify

Watch our short YouTube video to find out why farmer George loves being an ambassador.

It's been so great to meet and share ideas and stories with people from different areas of the food industry, but with a common goal to make our food system better. It's very inspiring and motivational.

Who can be an ambassador?

This programme is for people who work in food the UK food system. You might:

  • want to see a fairer food system and strive for high standards of food and healthy diets

  • identify with the principles of health, ecology, fairness and care

  • want to share your story

  • represent a voice that often goes unheard and want to be a part of the wider good food movement

You will also need to:

  • have time to commit to attend in person and online training

  • be willing to learn and develop your voice through stories

As a Soil Association ambassador I am really looking forward to learning new skills to improve my storytelling. I have always wanted to share my experiences working in food industry with other people, but I haven't felt I had the right skill set to make it happen.
