Over 80 years, we’ve proven that nature-friendly farming works. In that same time, though, industrial farming has decimated our natural environment, with UK wildlife declining by an average of 20% since 1970.
As we look to the next 80 years, we have a choice – do we allow nature to be plundered or transform our food and farming systems to work with nature?
The Soil Association is specially placed to address biodiversity on farms, as we work from farm to fork. This vision encompasses three essential levers for change: our work on the ground with farmers, empowering policymakers and citizens to stand up for nature, and strengthening markets and supply chains for nature-friendly products.
