Celebrating 80 voices for 80 years
We are the Soil Association, the leading food and farming charity on a mission to fix food and farming for all, the nature-friendly way.
For eight decades, the Soil Association has challenged what is possible for nature’s progress. Our 80th anniversary isn’t a moment to look back. It’s a moment to go further than we’ve ever gone before. Our nature is in crisis. But we have the expertise, the proof and the momentum to reverse it – across 70% of the UK, where nature recovery will truly be won or lost.
History tells us that when people get together – passionate, brave, won’t-take-no-people – they can change everything. We’re proof of it at Soil Association. For 80 years, we’ve helped pioneer organic farming and champion better food systems, working alongside farmers, food businesses, schools, caterers and communities to build a shared vision of nature-friendly farming and healthier diets.
In our anniversary year, we want to amplify the voices of those very people that give us hope for the future. Through the year, we'll tell the stories of 80 people from across the food and farming system. Farmers, growers, foresters, educators, caterers, businesses, community leaders and others who are helping to revive nature on farmland and reshape how food is produced and consumed.
The 80 'voices' represent many others - people across the movement who show us what’s possible. Help us celebrate their stories and amplify their voices when you see them. You can enjoy the first interviews here.
