Training with Soil Association Certification
Information about our forestry certification courses, including how to book, discounts, and our cancellation policy.
We develop and deliver Forest Stewardship Council® (FSC®) accredited training courses and other training courses under our Excellence for Forests programme. These are designed to capacity and technical knowledge across forest and commodity sectors.
Our FSC training has been approved by Assurance Services International (ASI), and we are an approved provider of FSC training courses in line with FSC PRO 20-004 (general requirements for an FSC training programme).
Those who select and successfully complete the full FSC Auditing to ISO 19011, forest management or chain of custody courses will receive a valid training certificate as a crucial step towards becoming a qualified FSC auditor. These courses may also be of interest to certificate holders, non-governmental organisations (NGOs) involved in forest certification, and other providers of certification services.
Training terms and conditions
Access and materials
You will be provided with a personal logon for our online eLearning platform (LITMOS) and be assigned course materials four weeks before the in-person part of the course. You will be able to access LITMOS for 12 months from the start date of the course. We recommend that you download any certificates you are awarded as soon as possible.
How we teach you
All our trainers are qualified FSC auditors and are active in our certification business. Our courses are held in English unless otherwise stated, therefore proficiency in English is essential.
Fees and discounts

Final payment is due four weeks before the course start date, at which point eLearning will be assigned.
Booking discounts are available for early booking, multiple course bookings, and not-for-profit organisations. Contact us to discuss discounts.
Cancellation fees
cancellation or non-attendance on first day of course: full fee
cancellation within seven days of course start date: 50% of fee
course cancelled by Soil Association Certification: no charge
