Andrew Burgess

Trustee

Andrew is currently Chair of NFU Organic Forum. He has also served full terms on the NFU Horticulture Board, LEAF board, AHDB and British Carrot Growers and is the director and owner of Produce World and Founder of RB Organic. He is also a Soil Association Trustee.

Andrew was born and raised in vegetable farming and is a strategic agronomist by profession. He attended Shuttleworth Agricultural College and has since done every role you can think of in fresh produce. He is a big fan of environmental farming, especially organic.

Having now retired from playing rugby for Peterborough, Andrew has now taken up post as the President. He still skis and climbs mountains, and loves all outdoor pursuits. He is married to Louise with three grown-up daughters and now two grandchildren.

Andrew’s greatest hero is Winston Churchill as he never knew when he was beaten! Andrew's favourite poem and code for life is "If" by Rudyard Kipling.
