We are deeply grateful to all the generous donors who have supported our Regeneration Fund over the past five years.
Together, we have played a vital role in driving forward transformative change. We’re thrilled to share the impact that your support has made—and continues to make.
In this final report, we assess the progress made against the goals we set ourselves.
Thanks to our supporters - a group of brilliant, generous and deeply motivated individuals and organisations. We have raised over £4.5 million, paving the way for lasting, transformational change. Here are just a few highlights:
SA Exchange, just a twinkle in our eye in 2022, has now assessed the environmental, social and animal welfare status of over 2000 farms, supporting farmers to improve their scores.
Innovative Farmers has not only continued to initiate new field labs on topics ranging from living mulches to solving cobalt deficiency but has also inspired the launch of ADOPT, a Government- backed scheme supporting farmer-led research at scale.
Our Farmer Led Tree Revolution project to champion agroforestry has also made huge strides. With climate change biting, farmers and Government alike are finally recognising trees as an essential part of their resilience toolkit.
Our vision is regeneration: a world with good health, in balance with nature, and a safe climate.
The Regeneration Fund introduced six priority projects to achieve progress towards this vision. Over the past five years, these have been transforming the way we eat, farm and care for our natural world and have accelerated progress towards our 2030 goals.
Complementing the core work of the Soil Association, these projects are equally important but highly varied in scale and subject. They range from working directly with farmers, landowners, food ambassadors and community leaders to growing our political influence.
To find out more about these six projects, read or download our Regeneration Fund brochure.
As we look towards our 80th anniversary and recognise that we are now halfway through this crucial decade, we will shortly publish the next ‘missions’. We believe this will allow us to apply our special blend of ambition, expertise, common sense and grounded integrity to best effect in the coming years.
If you share our bold vision for the future, please consider supporting us through this next phase, to build on the progress achieved by the Regeneration Fund. There is much to celebrate, but still so much to do.
