Careers With a Conscience
On Tuesday 21st November, we partnered with The Hoxton Hotel to curate a unique event named ‘Careers With A Conscience’. The event consisted of a panel discussion followed by a Q&A and networking evening complete with Rebel Kitchen cocktails! It was a sell-out event with 70 in attendance!
The panel discussion aimed to inspire and guide attendees on how to build a brand or advance their career without compromising their core values. The panellists consisted of Natasha Harden, who heads up marketing at Rebel Kitchen, the plant-based sustainable food brand known for their delicious coconut-based drinks and strong health initiatives; Sarah Brown, founder of London skincare brand, Pai, and business commentator on BBC News, Guardian, and the Financial Times, shared her passion for the beauty industry and how she built an ethical brand using only certified organic ingredients; Gabriella May, head of e-commerce of fair trade clothing company, People Tree, spoke to the audience on the power of social media and the need for transparency in business and supply chain; and lastly, Tom Mitchell from GapCap - a fintech business which offers a flexible cashflow solution to start-ups and SMEs, aiming to support more ethical and organic brands. Tom shared his knowledge on finances and scaling up your business, saying how it is imperative to trust your instincts and move beyond your comfort zone.
We'll be putting on more events like this in the new year, so look out for more details soon.
