£5m awarded to transform food culture
The Soil Association has received £5.1 million from the National Lottery Community Fund for the brand-new Food for Life Get Togethers programme.
This nationwide programme will use the power of good food to connect people of all ages through growing, cooking and eating healthy food together.
What is Food for Life Get Togethers?
Food for Life Get Togethers is a new programme, created to transform our food culture, unite communities, create meaningful relationships between generations and unlock the power of good food for our physical and mental health and wellbeing.
Food for Life Get Togethers, working with six partners, will do this by giving communities the chance to come together through special events and social hubs that promote growing, cooking and eating healthy food.
Working in some of the UK’s most disadvantaged areas, Food for Life Get Togethers will use good food to help tackle some of the most serious problems facing society today such as unhealthy eating and loneliness.
How you can get involved
