Farming and Land Use Development Manager, Soil Association Scotland
Patrick runs the Farming with Nature programme, promoting ideas and practices which benefit farm businesses and the natural environment. The programme tackles subjects like grassland improvement, peatland restoration and the conservation of pollinators and wading birds.
Patrick joined Soil Association Scotland in December 2018 after seven years working on upland issues across the UK as a project manager with the Heather Trust. He usually works from his home in Galloway, where he runs a hill farm with a focus on native breed cattle and conservation grazing.
Patrick is learning to play the accordion. Progress is slow.
