Exporting from GB into Non-EU
Exporting from GB into Non-EU countries
A valid and original Export Certificate may be required to accompany exported organic product leaving GB to countries outside the EU.
This is to confirm the organic integrity of a product once it arrives at its destination.
We advise checking with the organic authority in the export market whether labels/certification will be accepted.
For the majority of the 13 nations detailed in Annex III of the EC834/2007 regulation (approved third countries) agreements are in place during the transition period to ensure the product will be accepted.
After the 31st December 2020, where equivalency has not been agreed between the UK and non-EU governments, different exporting rules may apply dependent on agreed trade deals.
Note: Taiwan is considered an exception and has not recognised EU (UK) organic status since May 2020. Taiwan now requires products to be approved to the organic standards of The Taiwanese Agriculture and Food Agency (AFA)
