Niomi Smart's Smoothie Bowls - 3 Ways

Eat Smart with Niomi

"I first discovered smoothie bowls in LA at a quirky café called Juice Generation and the best I've ever tasted were in Bali. They were a revelation to me and since then I've made my own versions, trying out different combinations of fruit and superfoods".

ACAI BOWL (serves 2)

3 frozen bananas, peeled 50g fresh or frozen blueberries

125ml unsweetened almond milk

2 tbsp. acai powder

2 tbsp. maca powder (optional)


3 frozen bananas, peeled, chopped

1 tbsp. raw cacao powder

1 tbsp. chia

TROPICAL  (serves 2)

A large handful of spinach

100g frozen mango chunks

100g frozen pineapple chunks

1/4 cucumber

60ml coconut water, plus extra if needed

2 ice cubes

1 tsp baobab powder (optional)

1 tsp spirulina (optional)


Simply place all of the ingredients in a blender (make sure your blender can work with frozen fruit)

Whizz until creamy smooth adding extra almond milk or coconut water if needed. Serve in bowls, decorated with toppings of your choice.
